On behalf of the family of YDPI; I take this time to welcome and thank you all for coming to this very unique and well organized program. we will like for you to make yourselves comfortable as we are about to learn new skills and stragtegies that will enable us handle and resolve conflicting issues appropriately.
Background:
-Conflict is part of our every day lives; when people basic needs are threatened, conflict arises.
-Conflict is especially common in new situations because people have not a chance to develop appropriate respons to new situations.
-This will be the case when you shall reyturn to Liberia of else where in the world; people places and situations will be very different from what you you use to what you remember from the past.
- You may fell frustarted, fearful, sad, or angry, this is when conflict resolution and mediation skills and strategies will become very useful to us all here today.....
Workshop Purpose:
-Therefore, the purose of this worshop is to help us all or every participant of the workshop acquired and practice skills and strategies that will be helpful to us in resolving conflict peacefully...with in our homes,communities,workplaces,social places and among social groups and etc....
-So; it is indeed a great pleasure and honor to introduce to you our guest speakers from the USA Mennesota, namely: Sarah the head of the group,Nicole and student at law, and Lucy also a student at law; the all work with the Advocates for human rights organizations. they will take us through this very unforgetable day.. the 17th date of march 2010.
