YDPI Youth Empowerment Training project

Dear reader,

Welcome to YDPI;we have decided to go into cosmetics intensive training worksop beginning the 28th of November 2009 precisely at the hour of 8:00 sharp and will be ending 2:00 daily.

After a thorough observation of what causes most conflicts in our communities in Africa and it surrounding in the past until present,have been observed that most of our youth, young adults and most adults are not self sufficient due to the series of war all around Africa most especially west africa;for exampel Liberia my own country.

And realistically speaking;conflict start from one before to another person;meaning (e.g) if you are hungry and have not getting for long,the hunger itself in you ; is a total conflict by it self;

Therefore,YDPI have decided to go into cosmetics training,organizing training sessions and worshops on the latter to help empower members,youth,young adults and adults that are vulnurable to hunger and poverty based on not having skills and the means of income.

The objectives of this is youthful empowerment for communal development,mental cleansing leads them to to use their mind,heart and hands to make living easier.

The training sessions are expected to cover few staff members of YDPI in the range of (10) ten heads.The community will have vast benefit derived there from it involves both youth,young adults and adults.

the range of this training will be in soap making-washing and bath,soap powder,detergents-Clorox or Cloris (chlorine),candle making and etc.

After the training,YDPI members and the other participants,including the community will be able to take care for themselves and will also play in important role in the community and development and society as a whole.YDPI will be very instrumental in creating, employing, and finding jobs for those that will graduate.

The courses outline will last for an period of two months intensive training.each term; as our intentions are to conduct this project for a year period .

In conclusion,we of YDPI do solicit your utmost and caring co-operation and participation in what ever way you can get involved in the implementation of that task ahead;what ever way possible to make this genuine dream and aspiration a reality for a vulnerable society and settlement of inhabitants,your unanimous can contribution to make this project successful will be highly appreciated and well defined with in the confines of our protocol and project.more to come...........

Intro

Hello to every one! This is the organization called YDPI: Youth Development For Peace Initiative. YDPI focuses on the protection, advocacy, promotion, rehabilitation and reintegration of former child soldiers, ex-combatants, war affected youths and destitutes, using skills training and vocational training strateges.

YDPI is also into children academic development, by helping them with their assignments, home works, lessons,and expanding on their lessons according their academic levels.

YDPI is also into Peace Education and creation of trauma awareness, conducting of peace seminals, workshops, talk shows on the issues of former child soldiers,and some relevant issues affecting our societies and communities in general.

We are also into health and sanitation clean up programmes, e.g cleaning of the streets of where we live, cleaning of garbage, cleaning of the general makert place in the camp and the hospital surroundings.

We also conduct research and administer survey on the former child soldiers to know their present situation and their past, looking for ideas that could be used to cut down the unlawful use of children in armed conflicts and facilitate their reintegration.
